Even though I’m a New Yorker, and I absolutely love your writing about Paris, it’s always good to read about food in your home town. Great to hear about Elbow bakery. For some reason the bialy has gone out of fashion, and it’s so much better than a bagel. Safe travels. Your substack is one I make sure I read every week. Also, Deb Perelman is a treasure.

I am LOVING our time here in Mexico. But, man, pastries are not their jam. (Yes, I did that on purpose. Sorry/not sorry!) All I can think about now is pastries in Europe, where I'm not going anytime soon.
