I did a deeper dive. The muralist at La Mediterranee was Christian Berard. Very much loved artist. And influential in many areas.

Yes sorry you're right, Cocteau did the menus my mistake. Hope you find a nice print!

The prints I've found on-line are mostly fashion. They are lovely, Vogue covers and more, but I want the mermaids. You'll have to go to La Mediterranee and take a pic to send to me.

My husband and I dined at La Mediterranee on our first visit to Paris in 2006. It was delicous and we tried so hard to take our time dining stretching dinner out to 2 hours. As we left the restaurant the gentleman stationed outside commented, "you're done so soon!" It was also the first time we'd ever seen anyone take their cute little dog out of their tote to join them for dinner (inside). Love your photos of the area.

I randomly stumbled into L'Avant Comptoir du Marché on a trip in September and you are right, biggest blocks of butter I've ever seen! And I loved the plating in the seashell style plate/bowls and the pickles too.

I clicked on La Mediterranee and loved the merpeople mural. Where can I find a copy? Print? Postcard?

Lovely little newsletter with some great pics.

Hi Susan, I don’t remember seeing any merchandise for sale when I’ve been there but I’ll pop by again soon and ask for you. Fingers crossed! Emily

Thanks Emily. Maybe I could follow a link with the artist's name. Which is?

Most of the walls are done by artist Jean Cocteau. Hope that helps!

The muralist was Christian Berard. Check out his work. But I've not located prints yet.
