Happy Holidays!

My kitchen is stocked with French chocolates, marrons glacés (candied chestnuts), panettone, fresh clementines, an ice cream Bûche de Noël in the freezer, with Champagne on ice and a capon chicken rubbed with sage butter ready to roast, in preparation for a low-key holiday dinner tonight. Paris is quiet, with people either on vacation or staying in and spending time with friends and family, which is what we’re doing.

After a hectic week tying up 2022 and preparing for 2023, I’m taking a break to reboot and recharge. I hope you all have a restful week wherever you are, and whatever you’re doing.
