Bonnes vacances! Your comment about "Dallas" reminds me of a market vendor I chatted with in Cluny 25 years ago. She told me that she'd learned all about the US from "Dawson's Creek," notably that the only time Americans sit down to eat is "Le Sanks-geev-eeng." The rest of the time we apparently just walk around drinking cocktails and munching on snacks.

Bons vacances! It always made me laugh when our (French) friends would shut their restaurant in August to go on holiday. When I asked why they went at the busiest time of year, rather than November or January, when they often had no customers, they looked horrified and said, but we need a holiday too! Makes French sense!
