I have a newly aquired apartment on Ile St Louis and I need to replace some wall to wall carpet. Do you have any experience with sources and installers?
I love hearing your Paris restaurant recs and have tried many, most recently A la Biche au Bois (LOVED it! I visit Paris often and love word of mouth recommendations. Keep them coming!
SPACE FOOD STICKS! They were huge here in Sydney in my school years (cough, quite a while back now). We never had the peanut butter variety though ... 😞
I did not choose an answer for future restaurant write-ups because, I think you should do what works best for you. Either is fine. BTW love the podcast!
I agree! Doesn’t really matter to me so much, I did cast a vote for separate just because, as another reader pointed out, it is handy to be able to bookmark/file/save those recommendations under travel/destinations/restaurant related; whereas other things to do with the newsletter would fall under recipes or cooking. Do whatever is easier on yourself David.
It’s such a treat to see something from you in my inbox that I chose restaurants-should-be-separate—purely and selfishly to double my chances of it’s being a David Lebovitz Day.
I love you sharing restaurants in your newsletter. I agree with Deborah I’d love to see you do a series on Netflix sharing your favorite restaurants, bakeries etc in Paris. It would be a hit!
I was just thinking of Space Food Sticks, the night Artemis I launched! We loved the chocolate ones. But at that age almost anything with chocolate was game to us.
Loved this newsletter! I would watch any type of programming you would do. Definitely someone should give you a show of your own. You have a great personality for it. HappyHolidays to you and Roman❤️
I’ve been a fan of La Maison du Chocolat since moving here but last year for a holiday, my husband bought me a box of the exquisite chocolates from Patrick Roget. I have never eaten or seen such amazing morsels. Expensive, oh yes, but so worth it.
Thank you for the chocolate shop referrals. I just bought two boxes from La Maison du Chocolat, one for my chocolate loving husband and one for some some old friends. At our age, we no longer exchange gifts between us, be we do love our holiday treats. We always buy a cookie assortment from the Spanish company 1880. Their polvorones are heavenly.

All your ideas sound wonderful although the entertaining one would be great. Not my forté and I find it’s extra difficult “post” pandemic. 💕
Happy Holidays to you and Romain.

Me too. They both work for me.
A great installment of your newsletter-you touched on so many interesting things. The pictures are great and you always make me hungry, I love it.
Joyeaux Noel to you and Romain, and family and friends as well.

If I remember correctly, they didn't taste all that much like chocolate - more like dry Tootsie Rolls (!)
Ha! I remember them as being less dry than Tootsie Rolls, which I hated as a kid (and still do).

Patrick Roget's ginger slices dipped in chocolate... ooooooooooooooooh my, so good.
What a great xmas gift idea! Thanks!
Both are great - and worth the expense #imho

I'm conflicted about listing the restaurant write ups - they're so enticing to read but heartbreaking because I know I'll never get to one.
