I love the stories. I understand about getting older and still loving sweets and pastries! 🤠

Bonjour, David! I loved you on the Earful Tower podcast. You’re so friendly and fun to listen to.

I bought some Maille Walnut Dijon mustard when I was in France and now I’m stumped as to how to use it. Any ideas? 💕

A great post with some fab links. Glad you had a great break with Romain and that you made the sensible decision to stay in the one place, it is more of a holiday that way. I don’t think you would need to worry too much about the speedos, I can’t imagine you being too overweight, and besides I reckon they look far sexier than boardshorts.

No worries about a couple of days! And the Fred Wiseman documentary about Les Troisgros is wonderful. I watched Parts Unknown Season3 Ep 3 afterwards, and saw the père and fils Troisgros at younger ages, which was fun. The Wiseman doc is partially funded by PBS and will apparently stream there. Maybe you could find a clever way to stream it from France? The parts unknown episode on Lyon is free, on YouTube, in case you haven’t seen it. A star studded cast.

Open-rate for your LAST CALL Dive Bar Jukebox would’ve been through the roof if we used that Speedo pic!

Daveed, your trip to Tuscany sounds wonderful and the Instagram photos made me want to go. Keep rockin' the Speedo, no matter that we become a shape-shifter as we get older.

Thank you!

The photos from Italy were wonderful, though the return flight looked arduous! Loved listening to you with Oliver Gee on The Earful Tower. Thank you!

I am just glad to read your latest blog and glad you & Romain enjoyed yourselves. I just bought your Room for Dessert cookbook and discovered it was an autographed copy! Strangely, it didn't appear to have been used...mine sure do..underlining, splatters & all. Can barely wait for your next cookbook.

Get some rest now...vacationing is tiring. Kate in FL

We flew to Paris last October and that’s where we stayed: no “side trips!”

I believe Menu Plaisir is supposed to be on your Public Television station sometime this month, as they provided funding. They are both essential (imho) for anyone who loves cooking and dining, very different in nature but sharing an immersive aspect, one contemporary and one historical: Taste of Things within an Impressionist light, MP taking a living look at the process today.

I’m so happy you and Romain got away, but those 18 hours returning are a killer. I love that you bought fresh vegetables and a baguette upon arriving home. It’s great to see other places, but home is where the heart—and the pastries!—are! ❤️🥖

Have you had a chance to see The Taste of Things? I have actually seen it twice in the past week!! I find it hypnotic. But then I used to cook/bake.

I saw the Menus Plaisir and was surprised when four hours actually flew by! But for loveliness and the sadness that is life - please check out Taste on the big screen.

I made that almond tart for some touring musicians when they performed in NYC and it was a huge hit!

Thanks so much for including a link to Adam's tour. It's going to be a blast! Also glad to see you finally made it home from Bologna. ;)

I can't believe you are 65! You look so young.

Nobody cares if it’s a few days late! Don’t worry about that. I saw Menus Plaisirs too and would have watched it again if they would have let me. I read all the reviews again for a week and got in touch with everyone in my contacts to go immediately before it went away. What a great story about some extraordinary chefs in the idyllic countryside. Le Central will be the new Mecca for the no-hedge fund set.
