After several weeks of extensive testing, Substack has launched an app where my newsletter lives. I’ve been part of the beta testing team, checking out its functionality and adding my 2¢ to features I like (which are a lot of them), in addition to selected other testers. They’ve all been incorporated into the app so if you download the app, you can read my newsletter on your mobile device, as well as get notified when I send out every newsletter post….so you don’t miss a thing!
One feature I especially like is that you can toggle notifications in the app to your liking. My newsletter will continue to be on the web and you’ll still get it by email (so you can continue to read it that way if you wish), although some people, myself included, appreciate a notification on their phone to let us know of updates to newsletters that we subscribe to.
Another plus: Longer posts won’t get cut off so you won’t have to “Click here to read more” in emails. No more cut-offs. Yay!
Here’s a little video of how it works:
If you’d like to install the app for your iPhone, you can do so here. If you’re using an Android device, you can add yourself to the waitlist.
Once you install the app, my newsletter will show up on it, in addition to others you follow, and not only can you read my newsletter there, you can also “Like” posts and leave comments right from the app, as well as share posts and recipes with friends.
If you’d like more information about the app, you can visit the page: Introducing the Substack App.

Nice to try something else!
Just installed too! I love this! So sleek!
