I listened to the book as a result of this interview and then I relistened to the interview because I enjoyed the book so much. I’ll be in France next month for a visit and a stay with a family so I particularly loved all the tips on how to conduct yourself with the best manners.
Excited to listen to this conversation! I have tickets for her speaking engagement in NYC and am greatly looking forward to it. Especially since I head back to Paris in June!
What a delightful listen!! As my husband & I sit here in Carcassonne (waiting for the wind & rain to abate 🫤!), we are having fond memories of our more than 10 classes we’ve taken at La Cuisine. I had the pleasure of Jane taking a photo with me many years ago. We (as Americans who spend 2-3 months in France each year) are huge promoters of Jane’s school. We’ll be back in Paris over the holidays this year & will be checking to see what classes are being offered! Amazon just sent me a notice that my preordered book is being delivered today 👏👏👏👏.
I have taken 3 classes at La Cuisine and thoroughly enjoyed them all. I have Jane's book on order and can't wait to read it. I look forward to La Cuisine and David's newsletters!
I loved the podcast, hearing both you and Jane discuss your lives and experiences in Paris. Her book definitely is on my list to buy. Thank you so much.
David thank you very much, I enjoyed it. Actually it was you who introduced me to Jane's school in 2018. I was going to be in Paris and was looking for a few things to do after my friends had returned to the States. You (your blog) referred to La Cuisine as a place I might get a food related tour. I want on a Pastry Tour of the Marais led by one of her people. FABULOUS!
They do a very good job (and not just because I'm a friend of hers) but when I led tours, we worked with her and the chefs at her school on classes, and they were always great.
What an enjoyable chat you had with Jane Bertch! I loved the easy flow of your conversation and how comfortable you are with each other. Am so interested in Jane’s book, The French Ingredient. Wish I was in Paris and could take a class (with both of you would be perfect!).
And yet another person I follow who is friends with this lovely lady!! 😁😁 My husband and I had a wonderful experience at her school back in 2022. I think Jane may have even taken us on our shopping trip in the Marais before our class. Can't wait to read her book! And take another class at La Cuisine!! Merci et A bientôt !!❤️❤️🥰🥰

I bought the book, and am enjoying it!
Happy to hear!

Thanks for letting me know Paul. It does take a while for podcasts sometimes to populate onto other platforms, but I'll take a look into it - thanks!
Thanks, working now on Apple and Android!

This was such a lovely chat! I just preordered Jane’s book. Thank you for introducing me to her!
What a great podcast. Very fun listening to both of you. I just pre-ordered Jane’s book, release on 4/9. Thank you. 😎
Jane will be in Chicago at the Alliance Francaise on April 16th. Can't wait to meet her and secure my copy of the book.

I’ve been lucky to have spent some time with Jane over the last few years. She is simply lovely. This podcast was delicious.
