I bought her book and have enjoyed reading it in its entirety. The photos are beautiful and her reminder that "joie" can be found in everything from a walk in your neighborhood to shopping locally to using your "best china" daily is definitely a joyful way to live.

Thanks for introducing us to the super cool Ajiri in what is my favorite episode of your podcast to date. It is so nice to take a break from my usual podcast diet of current events and refocus on creating daily joie!

My take on why men and women in Paris dress so well: Because most of the apartments in Paris are really small, closet space is at a premium, so Parisians, limited as they are on the size of their wardrobes, spend very well and very wisely. Instead of eight so-so jackets, there might just the one or two, but those are going to be killer.

I listened to this fabulous podcast on my walk this morning. I enjoyed the comfortable exchanges between the two of you and the laughs. I want Ajiri Aki to be my friend! As soon as I got back home from my walk (Athens, Georgia) I ordered her book from Amazon and followed her on Insta. Please follow her advice and postpone nothing. That is my motto! Thank you.

Thank you David. So inspiring to not wait for a "special occasion." Life's too short! We must surround ourselves with the things that make us smile and happy every time we touch or use them. She's an inspiration! Merci : )

Thank you for replying, David. I went to her website from the podcast. It says, Sold out. I’ll go ahead and order from Amazon. I wonder if she might do what you did and sign a bookplate?

Just became a paid subscriber after reading & listening to you for over a year., a birthday gift to myself, turning 67, on 6 July. The podcast with Ajiri Aki, cinched it… You’re doing great things in this world. And for us Americans who will most probably never make it to France, but have been drawn to it their entire lives, you pretty much take us there. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

This was a great conversation, thank you David.

Everyday I use the good stuff ...even when my children were very young. You learn to respect all things when they are lovely and nice

Loved the interview very informative and I do 100% agree with fact she talked about when friends come to your dinner party with huge bouquet of flowers demanding the vase taking space on the counter to arrange them it is so annoying because you are busy greeting other guests coming in or just with the dinner preparation I bring a smal useable gift or chocolates nicely wrapped .

Love your beautiful baccarat glass just amazing to find these things on flea markets only in Paris is that possible how lucky you are .
